In this video i demonstrate a few different ways to paint baseboard in a carpeted space.
Trim baseboard without getting on carpet.
If the piece isn t long enough to reach the opposite side use a 30 degree angle to join the pieces.

One of these segments is painting the baseboard trim a process that can be somewhat trickier if the room has wall to wall carpet.
What you re doing is just getting the tape tucked in between the edge of the carpet and the trim.
You don t need to push it down at all.
Now take a putty knife or 5 in 1 tool and start working at one end and push the tape down.
You will also have some carpet fibers that get stuck to the wet paint baseboard and it will dry that way.
It won t be perfect and you need to understand that going into it.
Although i didn t stress it in the video each way can work for different carpet len.
How to paint baseboards with carpet the right way.
Cut the baseboard get your baseboard cut to the exact length of the space you ll be putting it.
Place the baseboard simply set the baseboard on top of the carpet.
Vacuum around all the baseboard.
If this doesn t work another way to do this is get a strong putty knife or better use a 5 in1 multi purpose paint tool.
